Newborn + Chiropractic Therapy
Written on July 22, 2005 by Kevin.
I am a firm believer in the benefits of chiropractic adjustments. I had the opportunity to get many years of therapy and found it to be very helpful. The overall feeling I had was much better during that period. The topic though relates to newborns and the benefits of chiropractic therapy. I have seen many newborns go into my old chiropractors office and get adjusted and many of them appeared much happier.
The babies skull and spine are exposed to injury as it is forced through the birth canal. The birth process are also capably of disturbing the normal function of upper cervical spinal segments. An untreated spine can interfere with normal function of the nervous system and may cause serious health issues through the child's life. Below are some signs that your child may benefit from a chiropractic doctor.

I work at a chiropractic office & see the benefits of newborn/infant/child chiropractic care everyday. It's absolutly amazing how much it helps with the baby's colic. There are tons of things that chiropractic care can help too that you wouldn't even think about for babies/kids such as allergies, ASTHMA, big one, even bed wetting. If you haven't had the opportunity to check into it definitly give it a try. Check out http://www.icpa4kids.org/ for some really good information.

The information you have listed and the link that Jen posted are absolutely correct. The birth process is a tough one to go through and not only the neck and spine can have problems but also the bones in the skull. Many chiropractors have family wellness practices.I have also worked for chiropractors and have seen many real "miracles" occur, much to the relief of not only the infant but also the distressed families. Chiropractic is amazing and well worth looking into for your child.
